Privacy Center, or PrivacyCenter, is a rogue anti-spyware program designed to trick users into purchasing its full rogue version. Privacy Center looks similar to Privacy Components. Privacy Center may infect your computer through a Trojan, spam emails or it may have come bundled with another malicious program. Privacy Center sells itself as an effective spyware remover tool, however, all it does is make you believe you're infected with numerous spyware threats to offer its "licensed" program.

Once you're infected, you'll receive a large amount of popups and system notifications of imaginary spyware threats found in your computer system. To remove these imaginary threats and "protect" yourself, you'll be redirected to Privacy Center's website or another rogue website to finally purchase the rogue Privacy Center's full version.

Privacy Center's trial version is also able to run a fake computer system scan and display a list of security risks supposedly found in your computer system. These risks will not be removed unless you first buy Privacy Center's "licensed" program. Although Privacy Center may appear to be undamaging, it is a security risk to your computer and it may actually expose you to more security threats.
