Privacy Components, or PrivacyComponents, is a malicious anti-spyware program. Like other phony anti-spyware programs, Privacy Components will display on your PC screen false pop ups and security alerts claiming that your PC is infected in order to try to trick or scare you into purchasing the scam Privacy Components program. However, what makes Privacy Components malicious is the fact that it will report regular files as infected and ask you to delete these regular files. The removal of these regular files, which serve to operate the function of your PC, may damage your system. Do not delete any files that Privacy Components claims are infected since they are NOT infected and are regular files used to operate your system. If you see pop up ads or security alerts promoting the scam Privacy Components program, remove the infection IMMEDIATELY.
